When a bid is made within the last three minutes of an auction on Atsum, the auction’s duration extends by an additional three minutes. This extension is designed to allow other bidders an opportunity to counterbid, promoting fairness and inclusivity. This method parallels the principles commonly seen in online auctions and reflects the first-second-third principle observed in a hammer auction.
To bid, it’s necessary to be logged in to Atsum Auctions.
The point of an auto bid is for the system to bid for you. You enter an amount you are willing to pay for an item and then the system automatically bids for you up to your maximum bid – but only if necessary. Your maximum bid is hidden from other bidders during the auction. That an auto bid has been placed is indicated by an “A” after the placed bid in the bid history. You need to update a manual bid every time someone outbids you. And keep in mind that an auto bid in the same level as a later manual bid will always lead the auction – because it was placed first.
Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of:
Note: VAT is added to the transaction fee depening on the type of customer.
When you have won a bid, you will receive an invoice via e-mail, which usually arrives on the same day as the auction ends. You can also easily download your invoice if you log in to your account.

In the confirmation, you will also receive contact details for the seller to arrange a time for collection.

The transfer of ownership for registered vehicles always takes place between the buyer and the seller at the time of handover. This means that the object handover-acceptance act is signed between the seller and the buyer. If you do not have the registration certificate, you can order one from the Transport Administration.
Atsum always ensures that any outstanding debts on the vehicle are settled before the new owner takes possession. In cases where Atsum takes over the ownership of the vehicle to settle debts, the transfer of ownership is carried out electronically based on the buyer’s account information. This may result in a few additional days for the ownership transfer process.
