When you want to bid on an object on Atsum, you first create an account. As a Estonian private person, Estonian company or foreign buyer accounts are verified by customer support. All European companies need to provide their VAT numbers. Companies outside Europe need to provide D-U-N-S number. It is completely free to create an account with us.
Please note that when registering in the auction environment, you must digitally sign the user agreement. If you are registering as a company, a digitally signed copy of the company registration certificate is also required. If registering as a foreign private individual or company, the agreements must be signed manually, and a copy of an ID card or passport is required.
Atsum activates the account if provided information and signed documents are correct. After completing the registration process, an email about your account activation will be sent to you. Then the account will be activated and you can place bids. Under "My Account" you can easily see your current bids and the items you have purchased.
Under the auctions tab, you will find all objects that are currently up for auction. Click on any of the items to see more information, pictures and condition information. If you are interested in placing a bid, you need to log in and indicate how much you want to bid. You can choose between placing a manual bid or an auto bid and then let the system bid for you up to your maximum bid. You can also see whether the bid you place is inclusive or exclusive of VAT.
Please be noted that everything sells „as is, where is“.
There is no cost to place a bid, but remember that all bids are binding.
In case you’ve forgotten your password, click on the “forgot password” option. You will then be sent an email containing a link through which you can create a new password. Remember to enter the same username you used during registration! If you can’t recall your username, please contact our customer service at info@atsum.eu.
All buyer accounts must be verified by our customer support department. For verification, we require digitally or manually signed documents.
With a verified account, you get a more secure login and reduce the risk of account hijacking. It also helps prevent the creation of fake accounts and artificial bidding.
If you are unable to sign the documents digitally (in .asice format), the submitted documents can be signed manually with handwritten signature. To do this, make a copy of your identity document and company registration card, then write your signature and today’s date on the copies. In addition to the copy of the company registration card, put the company’s stamp. Then scan the given documents and forward them to Atsum.
Estonian companies can take the company registration card document from the E-Business Register. Foreign companies can obtain it from their country’s company registration portal/institution, or it exists in paper form from the time of company registration.
It includes a wide range, varying from small-scale farmers and construction firms to the most prominent municipalities and rental companies in Estonia.
Please review carefully the text of the auction document and be sure to familiarize yourself with the accompanying images and any available videos. There is a significant amount of information available. If you still have any questions about a specific item, please contact customer service for assistance.
Atsum has completely transparent bidding, which means that everyone who visits atsum.eu can see all current bids. All registered bidders can bid at any time of the day until the end of the auction. This is clearly stated on each item when the auction ends.
If someone places a bid when an auction on Atsum has less than three minutes left, the auction is extended by another three minutes. This is to give other bidders a chance to counterbid and not to exclude bidders. This is established in online auctions and can be compared to the first-second-third principle of the hammer auction. We do not recommend that you wait until the last seconds before placing a bid, as your computer and your internet connection may cause a bid to be delayed and your bid would therefore not have time to be registered with us within the current time period.
Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of:
10% on all Lots selling for 12,000 EUR or less, with a minimum fee of 100 EUR per Lot

3,750 EUR on all Lots selling for over 75,000 EUR
Note: VAT is added to the transaction fee.
You have won the auction if you have the highest bid and the reserve price has been reached when the auction ends, this is clearly stated in connection with the bidding. If the auction's reserve price is not reached, you will be contacted by Atsum shortly, with the aim of getting the deal through. Keep in mind that all bids on Atsum are binding, regardless of whether the reservation price has been reached or not.
When you have won a bid, you will receive an invoice by e-mail within 72 hours after the auction end. Then it can also be found under " My purchases " when you are logged in.

Reservation price is the lowest price that the client has accepted in advance. At each auction, you can see whether the reserve price has been reached or not. If the reservation price is not reached, you will be contacted by Atsum shortly, with the aim of getting the deal through. Keep in mind that all bids on Atsum are binding, regardless of whether the reservation price has been reached or not.
When a bid is made within the last three minutes of an auction on Atsum, the auction’s duration extends by an additional three minutes. This extension is designed to allow other bidders an opportunity to counterbid, promoting fairness and inclusivity. This method parallels the principles commonly seen in online auctions and reflects the first-second-third principle observed in a hammer auction.
To bid, it’s necessary to be logged in to Atsum Auctions.
The point of an auto bid is for the system to bid for you. You enter an amount you are willing to pay for an item and then the system automatically bids for you up to your maximum bid – but only if necessary. Your maximum bid is hidden from other bidders during the auction. That an auto bid has been placed is indicated by an “A” after the placed bid in the bid history. You need to update a manual bid every time someone outbids you. And keep in mind that an auto bid in the same level as a later manual bid will always lead the auction – because it was placed first.
Each purchased Lot will be subject to a transaction fee of:
Note: VAT is added to the transaction fee depening on the type of customer.
When you have won a bid, you will receive an invoice via e-mail, which usually arrives on the same day as the auction ends. You can also easily download your invoice if you log in to your account.
Have you not received an invoice by e-mail? Check your e-mail spam folder! When Atsum has received your payment (expect 1-3 banking days), you will receive a payment confirmation to your e-mail. In the confirmation, you will also receive contact details for the seller to arrange a time for collection.
Atsum must have received your payment before you can pick up your item. Cash payments will not be accepted. Please only pay from the same account from which you made the purchase.
Once you have paid, you will receive exact information on how to go about collecting your item. Expect it to take 1-2 banking days before you receive your payment confirmation with contact details for the selling company.
It is important that you make an appointment for collection before you go to collect your auction winnings. If you do not make an appointment, there is a risk that you will not be able to access your object when you arrive.
Don't forget that you as a buyer have a right as well as an obligation to check the condition based on the auction document when you pick up your bid item. If the item does not match the item as advertised, then please do not remove it from the site without contacting us first. All items are sold „as is, where is“.

* If damage is found that could not be seen or identified during the pre-auction inspection, it is not debatable as the condition of the auction item is “as is”.
All items are collected from the current seller. Atsum can in some cases be helpful in booking shipping, you can ask shipping offer from here.
